I wanted to work on another book design project, I wanted to spend just a week on this project. I chose to work on designing a set of Jules Verne covers. The only guides I set myself was to use Black, White and one other contrasting colour and that they had to work as a set. Because the books are similar but differnet in nature I wanted the covers and set design to reflect this. I designed them within a week just to set myself a target as I would have in the industry.

Identity

This is a drawing that I scanned in, I am going to manipulate this to generate a brand logo for myself. The Jokers head on the left will be used for certain promotions such as buisness cards and compliment slips. I think this will have to be simplified to work at a small size such as a buisness card.

This magazine article I designed was something I wanted to incorporate in my portfolio, This was one of my first experiments with Indesign. I wanted to document something in a similar style to grakik magazine. I wanted to keep it simple and brief. I chose to use an Artist that I had recently discoverd named Michelle Caplan.

After working on the a controversal project I found it best to change direction before it was marked to tone done the controversal elements of my design, only by truly looking deep within the image could a person realy see the petrifying aspects of the design and the insanity and petrification becomes clear.
